Bio

Julian Lopez is a keyboardist, composer, and synthesist born and raised in San Francisco. Classically trained at age four, he discovered Blues and Rock & Roll as a teenager, and then expanded his repertoire to include Salsa, Latin Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop. He studied jazz piano with George Colligan at Portland State where the combo he was in won second place at the Reno Jazz Competition.  In 2025 he debuted his original compositions with his quartet at the inaugural Future is Now Festival in Monterrey, Ca. His influences range from Robert Glasper and Madlib to Eddie Palmieri, incorporating multiple music styles into his playing and compositions. He plays and raps locally in the Bay Area as a core member of Miss Hits, Diwa, f.mph, Slappers Only, ZHENIIA, and Pachex.
